Autores: Daniel Borrajo Millán, Susana Fernández Arregui, Fernando Fernández Rebollo, Ángel García Olaya, Carlos Linares López
The course on Automated planning introduces the Artificial Intelligence approach to the planning task. Automated planning is a computational task that, given a domain description (in terms of available actions), an initial state and a set of goals, generates a plan that allows to achieve the goals from the initial state by executing the plan actions.

GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course on Automated planning introduces the Artificial Intelligence approach to the planning task. Automated planning is a computational task that, given a domain description (in terms of available actions), an initial state and a set of goals, generates a plan that allows to achieve the goals from the initial state by executing the plan actions.
OBJETIVES: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- To analyze problem solving state-of-the-art automated techniques
- To characterize every technique as well as the domains they suit better
- To get in use with tools that implement every technique discussed so far for solving specific problems
- To identify different open issues for the research in the area and to promote the realization and completion of new PhDs
