PRERREQUISITES AND RECOMMENDED PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE

In order to study IE, the student must know:

The principles of programming and some XML technology basic knowledge.Abstraction and Solving problems.

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE SUBJECT

In this course the student will learn related knowledge to: Information Science, Classification Systems, Knowledge Organization Systems, and its formal representation in the computer Science as well as its main applications and uses.

 

OBJETIVES: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

This course intends to facilitate the study of Knowledge Organization Systems for Knowledge Management and Information Retrieval. Additionally, it intends to facilitate the acquisition of the necessary knowledge for the development of Information Organization and Management Techniques.
